Ms. Pearl Your Girl

Mrs. Pearl Lyles has believed for years that God would one day reveal His purpose for her life and when He did, she would recognize it, accept it and obey His will—to accomplish it. It is now, after many years of experiencing her own personal trials and triumphs that God has prepared her for this purpose. One Sunday morning on her way home from church to retrieve something she had left, she passed a woman on the street who was obviously in need of physical, mental and emotional help. Although Mrs. Lyles felt sorry for her, she also recognized her religious judgement of the woman’s lifestyle and was immediately convicted of her attitude and decided that on the way back she would stop and invite her to go to church. But when she returned, the woman was gone. Mrs. Lyles remembers feeling remorse at first, but then relief. She realized that even if she had picked her up and taken her to church, no matter what the woman’s experience was there, if she had to bring her back to the same place, she would have still failed to help. It was then when God gave her the vision for My Father's House.

The focus of My Father’s House is on women who have been incarcerated, or are coming out of drug rehab programs, but are not yet ready or equipped to take on the challenges of day to day living within society. Mrs. Lyles passion is to see the women who God sends her way, become strong and independent women who are fully equipped and physically, mentally and spiritually prepared to fulfill their God given purpose in life. After their stay in My Father’s House, the women would return to their families and society with unwavering confidence and renewed hope to live each day knowing their true identity and their God given purpose for life.
